Art Break: Portraiture ft. Maria Veronica San Martin

Maria Veronica San Martin will lead participants in a hands-on art making activity inspired by the materials, methods and perspectives of her practice. All skill levels welcome!

This program is presented in conjunction with exhibition Mirror Mirror. Free and open to everyone. Art materials and refreshments provided.

Artist Bio:

María Verónica San Martín (b. 1981, Santiago, Chile) is an artist, graphic designer and printmaker living in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently an artist of the ISP at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her Master’s thesis became the publication, Memory and Landscape: Human Rights Violation in Chile.

María Verónica San Martín (b. 1981, Santiago, Chile) is an artist, graphic designer and printmaker living in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently an artist of the ISP at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Her Master’s thesis became the publication, Memory and Landscape: Human Rights Violation in Chile. Represented by Booklyn Artist Alliance in NYC, she has had solo exhibitions at BRIC Arts Media, Brooklyn, NY; The Cultural Art Center in Antofagasta, Chile, and The Embassy of Chile Gallery, Washington DC. She has also had work in group exhibitions at Stanford University Museum, CA ; The Museum of Memory and Human Rights and The Museum of Contemporary Art, Santiago, Chile. Her work can be found in the collections of The Pompidou Centre, Paris, France and The New York Public Library, NY among others institutions.
