Please join us for an Author Talks reading with Ananda Lima and Kathryne Squilla.

Ananda Lima’s work has appeared in The American Poetry Review, Poets.org, The Kenyon Review Online, Colorado Review, The Common, Jubilat and elsewhere. She has an MA in Linguistics (UCLA) and an MFA in Fiction (Rutgers University, Newark). She has taught at UCLA, Montclair State University and Rutgers, and was a mentor in the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Immigrant Artist Program. Her Chapbook, Translation (Paper Nautilus, 2019), won the 2018 Vella Chapbook Contest.

Kathryne Squilla is a freelance writer and editor with an MFA in creating writing from THE NEW SCHOOL. Her work has appeared in DRIVE magazine. She is a co-founder of WAAKT, a women’s writing group in Maplewood, NJ. She has recently completed a novel, THE WOODEN GIRL, and is at work on a second book. She lives in Maplewood, NJ with her husband and children.

Author Talks is a partnership between Rutgers University Newark MFA and Military Park offering readings on Tuesdays from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM from June to October at the Military Park Reading Room.
