Learn how to engage the selfie generation in the exploration of photography and voice recordings as tools for telling stories in all genres and content areas. You’ll get time to experiment with free, easy-to-use applications so come prepared with any and all charged devices (iPhones, Androids, Chromebooks, iPads, etc.) you want to explore as potential tools!
Course includes a Professional Development Certificate (3 credit hours) and virtual materials.

PAIGE WHELAN is an arts and technology consultant for Focus 5, Inc., a national education consulting company. She leads workshops that help teachers foster a deeper understanding of the curriculum through the integration of drama, visual arts, and technology. Ms. Whelan earned her BA in psychology from the University of California-Davis and a Masters in educational technology leadership from Lamar University. After many years as a classroom teacher, she served as the arts integration specialist and launched a technology program at a Title I elementary school in Arlington, Virginia, where she was named Teacher of the Year. Ms. Whelan also designed and implemented an arts-integrated technology course for a middle school in California. She is National Board Certified.
