February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join us at Index for cinematic excitement!
We’re looking to start movie nights on our ground floor with no regularity except that we’d like it to happen at least twice a month. We’ll be selecting different co-hosts each time- or if you’ve got something you’d like to show, whether it be an independent project, music video, or just a plain old movie- let us know!

For our first night our friend and Index Resident Artist Jillian Keats will co-Host with me (Lowell Craig)

Jill Keats has selected “Black Sunday” 1960
In an absolutely mesmerizing performance, Black Sunday stars Barbara Steele as Asa Vajda, a beautiful woman tortured and executed as a witch, but not before pronouncing a curse upon those who have condemned her, a curse that is fulfilled 200 years later. Cast: Barbara Steele, John Richardson, Andrea Checchi

Lowell’s pick” Fearless Vampire Killers 1967
Professor Ambronsius (Jack MacGowran), an eccentric old academic, and his bumbling assistant, Alfred (Roman Polanski, who also directs), travel to a Transylvanian town that’s been plagued by a clan of local vampires. After innkeeper Shagal’s beautiful daughter, Sarah (Sharon Tate), is abducted by Count Von Krolock (Ferdy Mayne), Ambronsius and Alfred penetrate the count’s castle to kill the bloodsuckers. Hilarious tongue-in-cheek satire.
