Doors Open at 7pm
All three (3) classes and the performance: $50 (savings of $10 before April 1)
By popular demand Maurice Chestnut brings “Dance Therapy” back to Newark Symphony Hall.
Inspired by the loss of his niece in 2014, Dance Therapy is a youth movement using dance as a therapeutic method of expression with tap dance in the forefront. At 7pm, Maurice presents a groundbreaking performance with New Jersey’s up-and-coming young dancers that addresses gun violence and other social issues in a creative, artistic interpretation.
Before the performance, ages 11 and up are welcomed to join the movement during the classes from 12pm-4pm, which includes tap, Hip-Hop and Modern dance. Each type of dance will be for an hour each.
