NMOA: Film + Panel: Celebrating the Legacy of Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglas: September 14, 2022

Join us for the premiere of two original documentaries that shed new light on the lives of a pair of towering figures in the struggle to end slavery, Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass.

The films are directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Stanley Nelson (Attica, Freedom Riders, The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution) and Nicole London. The films will broadcast on PBS in October.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A. Speakers to be announced.

Becoming Frederick Douglas, Directed by Stanley Nelson and Nicole London (25 min). Not Rated.
