SEAN WILENTZ is one of the great American historians in our time. His books include The Rise of American Democracy, Andrew Jackson and The Age of Reagan. He has been awarded the Bancroft Prize and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2006. He is the George Henry Davis 1886 Proffesor of American History at Princeton, and will speak on his current work, The Triumph of American Antislavery.
