The stories, experiences, and achievements of women take center stage during a day of interactive activities. Inspired by feminist themes found within the Museum’s special exhibition, Wendy Red Star: A Scratch on the Earth. In recognition of Women’s History Month.

Highlights:
Live entertainment including a Native American hip-hop performance by Calina Lawrence. Plus, a mashup of modern, fancy shawl and hoop dance by Marie Ponce accompanied by Louie Mofsie.
Live participatory storytelling highlighting Native women.
Prepare and taste indigenous food including fry bread and Three Sisters Soup. Led by Chef Nikko.
Live regalia making demonstrations by Kittie Mullet.
Multimedia presentation by Anahí Naranjo highlighting powerful Native American women from various artistic disciplines.
Drop-in art-making inspired by Wendy Red Star’s exhibition.
Program also includes gallery tours and planetarium shows.

TICKETS
Paid and free tickets will also be made available day-of at the door.

Paid tickets purchased on secondary sites will not be honored.
Only paid tickets purchased via Eventbrite and at the door will be honored.

All activities and performances are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Light refreshments will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
