Open Call for Teaching Artist Proposals - Arts and Cultural Workshops from Arts and Cultural Affairs Director Fayemi Shakur






Open call for teaching artist proposals to provide arts and cultural workshops at the City of Newark's Centers for Hope and recreation centers.
All types of programming will be considered including but not limited to: visual and performing arts workshops, printmaking, literary arts and poetry workshops, youth mentorship workshops, yoga and healing arts workshops, music production, DJ workshops, fashion and art workshops, art and culture field trips/guided tours for youth and families, journal writing, vision board workshops, book clubs, etc.

Proposals should be sent by March 4, 2020 and include a bio, course/workshop description of proposed, duration with preferred dates and times,
budget including hourly rates and materials, website, social media info, and CV or resume.
Proposals can be submitted for one-day workshops or weekly workshops for four to twelve weeks.
Workshops should have a focus on the arts, culture and/or education for youth, families or seniors.
