On September 10th, 2016, R&B/Pop recording artist Carl Brister brought together artists of diverse musical genres to inspire unity in the community of West Orange, NJ through music. This inaugural event was created in response to acts of violence and brutality toward African Americans and people of color throughout the country. Since then, Mr. Brister founded Music Village, a non-profit organization, which has been committed to presenting The Love + Unity Fest on an annual basis both live on stage and virtually, as a way to bring people together in love through music. Artists in the United States and around the globe who are committed to the mission of Love + Unity are encouraged to upload a submission from Jan 1st - February 15th at www.musicvillage.live for consideration. Volunteers with expertise in Social Media Marketing, Graphic Design, Audio/Video Engineering, and event organization, or more are also welcome to apply.
