Category: Open Calls Deadline: 08/09/2021 Website: https://audible.submittable.com/submit
Audible is pleased to request proposals for the inaugural phase of the Newark Artist Collaboration. This initiative will provide ongoing opportunities to Newark-based artists and encourage local investment in our creative community. The program will commence this fall with twelve commissions for Audible’s newly renovated headquarters at 1 Washington Park and the surrounding downtown neighborhood.
Artists are asked to embrace concepts of resilience, invention, innovation, and futurity. The inaugural phase of the Newark Artist Collaboration will include an array of site-specific and original multidisciplinary artworks to be installed in and around Audible’s HQ in downtown Newark.
• Indoor and outdoor facade activations (murals, wall installations, etc.)
• Digital artwork and video
• Experimental and immersive media (light, sound, etc.)
• Interventions, functional sculpture, and space design
• Design work in a collaborative framework (apparel, product design, etc.)
Project honorariums range from $2,500 to $25,000, depending on the scope of work and scale of the project. All project expenses (materials, assistance, documentation, etc.) are covered separately.
