The ART+BIO Cultivo Field Residency is a first-of-its-kind, immersive ART+SCIENCE Residency that is focused on broadening participation and accessibility in the Arts and Sciences through creative field collaborations, sharing, and hands-on learning.

Professional Development — This year's Field Residency is centered around sharing and developing community engagement/outreach and science communication strategies and projects that integrate Art, Science, and Nature. Join us to uplift and celebrate each other!

The ART+BIO Cultivo Field Residency is designed for Artists and Scientists of Color and is open to a range of BIPoC participants: undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, faculty, professionals, arts administrators, art therapists, art educators, science educators, science communicators, LGBTQ+ and intersectional identities, and creative and adventurous people with a love for Art, Science, and Nature.
We strongly encourage and welcome applicants from Minority Serving Institutions, including Hispanic Serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges/Universities, and Native American Tribal Colleges.
Sharing and mentorship are integral to this Field Residency. Participants will learn from each other and are expected to share their unique areas of expertise (of all levels), compelling background experiences, and visions for collaboration between Art, Science, and Communities.
Space is limited.
Participants must be 18+ years old to participate in this residency.
Participants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start date of the program.
