Details:

Visions for a New Normal follows the first edition of #pandemicprojections which took place over the course of 10 evenings at the height of the pandemic in spring/summer 2020. The events focused on themes of Nature/Spring/Rebirth. One year later we again invite artists to consider the future. What do you hope for? What do you envision? What has been lost? What would you like to regain? What does the future hold? Artists are asked to submit work in response to these prompts. We are particularly interested in images that will read well outdoors on a large projection screen approximately 70 feet wide (i.e. – saturated colors, large shapes, bold imagery). We are particularly interested in experimental video and sound. The event will be a drive-in format with sound transmitted over FM radio as well as a speaker system.

Share your file(s) with wavelengthart@gmail.com via Google Drive only in a folder labeled “Lastname_Wavelength.” Videos should be no less than one minute, nor longer than 10 minutes in length, formatted as an .mp4 not to exceed 200 MB in size, formatted at 16:9 preferably. No more than 3 submissions per artist please. Wavelength takes no responsibility for any credit omissions. It is the artists’ responsibility to insert their name, title of work, and any credit lines immediately preceding the video. When submitting to Google Drive please include in the message:

name(s) of artist(s),
contact email,
title of piece which should match the title of your video in Google drive,
if applicable, your Facebook name and Instagram handle, and website URL.
