We would like to recreate a mural illustrating a piece of old Newark sports history that was done for the former Newark Bears /Eagles Stadium but was destroyed 12 years ago. It depicted a full color tribute to six prominent Negro Eagle League Players playing at their height in the 1930's shown as posed figure/ portraits framed in six floating baseball cards overlooking a crowd of people in what used to be the former Rupert Stadium.
What we have is the finished preliminary drawing of the mural that was sold as an artprint in the former stadium's gift shop to use as a model or at least a visual guide to redo it.
What we need is a crew to work, a budget to pay crew and supplies and approval for a prominent site somewhere in Newark that is publicly accessible for the final product to be seen and appreciated
