An informational webinar on the Artist in Residence (AiR) program for the Lower Passaic River, will be held on January 21, 2024 at 3:00pm. Interested applicants can register here to join.

The Lower Passaic River Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP), in partnership with Newark City Parks Foundation, Newark Arts and the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP) is seeking artists to participate in a 13-month process intended to engage the public in critical water challenges and other environmental concerns in the communities along the banks of the Lower Passaic River.

Some highlights about this program:

• A total budget of $72,000 is available under this Call for Artists 
• Funds granted to artists can be used to support artist fees, equipment/supplies, fabrication, installation, and documentation of the art
• Artists with a meaningful connection with the waterfront communities of the Lower Passaic River are highly encouraged to apply
