Al-Munir LLC and Sustainable Jersey, invites Newark educators to a two-day Climate Change Professional Development Event on February 19th & 20th, 2025, at Newark Youth One Stop.

This event is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to teach climate change across all subjects while connecting them to real-world environmental issues affecting Newark. Participants will:

✅ Explore the scientific, social, and economic impacts of climate change, with a focus on air quality, urban agriculture, renewable energy, and climate-resilient infrastructure.
✅ Learn how to integrate Sustainable Jersey’s climate curriculum and align lessons with New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
✅ Engage in project-based learning that connects climate science to community action and environmental justice advocacy.
✅ Gain ready-to-use lesson plans and assessments that empower students to analyze climate challenges and develop real-world solutions.
