Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day This piece “Stepping Beyond the Challenge” is by a young artist, Braeden Carroll @braedens.creations “Many of my peers and others don’t believe that I work alone on art projects. This is a challenge for me. I know that I must not allow others to stop me from doing things I enjoy; so, I am sure that I will step beyond this challenge because God will help meto do so. In my painting, please notice the mirror beside the boy as he paints a portrait of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The boy looking in the mirror is me, Braeden Carroll, an aspiring seventh grade artist. I wanted to show that I am a “reflection” of Dr. King’sdream because I have many rights and freedoms that Dr. King marched and died for.I have learned that he wanted little black boys and little black girls to have the same privileges as all other boys and girls. So, I must take advantage of every opportunity presented to me and be the best that I can be. As I share my art with everyone, I hope to inspire others to dream big, too.”#youthart #art ...
