Join Newark Artist Database and Newark Arts’ Creative Convening on Wednesday, March 27th, at 6 pm for TAX ESSENTIALS FOR ARTISTS, led by Hannah Cole, founder of Sunlight Tax. This webinar provides creatives with guidance on tax-related matters, including deductions, reporting, and filing tailored explicitly to their artistic endeavors.

Attendees will:
> Gain an understanding of tax obligations for creatives
> Learn about deductible expenses for artists
> Develop record-keeping strategies
> Successfully plan for tax season

Hannah Cole, the founder of Sunlight Tax, is an artist, small business owner, and enrolled agent specializing in tax services for creative businesses and solopreneurs. With a rich background as a working artist, Hannah understands the financial challenges unique to freelancers and small creative businesses. She founded Sunlight Tax to empower the self-employed with relevant tax and financial education, aiming to transform money from an obstacle into a tool for realizing their visions. Newark Artists is a free platform developed to highlight and celebrate artists whose creative practices are locally rooted. This database acknowledges the artist’s crucial role in this city.
